Director
& 14u Head Coach

Ken Hans
Picture
In late August 2020 Ken Hans emerged as the new director of the Jersey Girls Fastpitch Organization. Armed with decades of on-field experience, Ken is striving to be impactful in the ever-evolving future of youth softball. Out of the gate he has initiated a “RELOAD” approach, with a strong emphasis on fitting the organization together with the right “Players”, “Parents”, “Coaches” and “Admins”.

Ken achieved a distinguished collegiate baseball career at Iowa’s William Penn University (1979-1983). His interest in softball was first realized as a postgraduate men’s fastpitch standout. The transition into baseball and softball organizational development was an obvious and natural progression.

In 2007 Ken founded the NJ Yellow Jackets Baseball and Lady Yellow Jackets Softball. Although very successful as a whole, Ken’s greatest achievements occurred on the softball side of the house. After two previous second place finishes the Lady Yellow Jackets secured a 14U National title in 2010. The Lady Yellow Jacket organization placed in the top 10 three other times during Ken’s tenure with the organization. Ken has over 30 career tournament championships in his coaching career.

Following a brief retirement Ken made his way back onto the field in 2013 with the North Jersey Rangers. He has impacted players from 12U-23U and has seen many of them excel at the Club, High School, D3, D2 and D1 levels.

Now with the Jersey Girls Fastpitch Organization Ken is dedicated to a fiscally responsible approach in producing a canvas of opportunity, learning and competition, which will unleash your players maximum potential.
